about

Some of the biggest names in leftfield and alternative music, including Four Tet, Clinic and krautrock legends Damo Suzuki (Can) and Michael Rother (Neu!, Harmonia), have donated new and exclusive material to Music For A Good Home to raise money for national homelessness charity Shelter.

The album, which also features Clinic, Pram, Dieter Moebius (Cluster, Harmonia) and Blood Red Shoes, was produced to mark the ninth anniversary of Shelter fundraising festival AUDIOSCOPE, and features bands who have performed at the event since it began in 2001.

Four Tet's track, titled 'Audioscope', was written especially for the release, while Mercury Prize nominees Maps chose to record a Bob Dylan track that songwriter James Chapman felt was particularly appropriate to support Shelter. Damo Suzuki's track is taken from his recent performance at Oxford's Truck Festival, which featured members of Ride and Ash as his backing band.
